Collective listening
Founded by A Strangely Isolated Place in August 2019, 9128 has been created as a curated destination to showcase friends, artists, and labels within the ambient and electronic music community - a collective of like-minded music.
Our goal is to have a 100% label and artist-curated schedule and our regular programming will revolve around music from everyone involved, alongside scheduled shows from our Partners.

Stream Approach
9128 programming will be fluid and curated to ensure a new listening experience with every visit with thousands of tracks now on random rotation carefully curated from our Partner labels and artists. Read about the Partners.
Surrounding the Partner shows will be specific 9128 programming curated by ASIP or Partners, and will include album premieres, label-specific mixes, and unreleased/exclusive music. These are often announced in the Latest News and/or Calendar sections.
Stream Details
We don’t have specific limitations on what music we play. We curate from a label/artist level. Generally, the music featured on 9128 aligns to the ASIP aesthetic, and will include a spectrum of ambient, drone, field recordings, experimental, soundtrack, modern classical, electronica/IDM, and deep techno.
The music featured is played under permission or owned by said artists, Partners, or ASIP.
The stream is currently offered at 320kbps.
We encourage you to connect to the stream using WiFi, especially on mobile, to avoid high data usage.
The stream has built-in security measures to stop and discourage “stream rippers”. Please respect the artists and music played for your enjoyment.

The 9128.live label [Bandcamp]
In 2021 we launched the 9128 label. Follow us on Bandcamp. The 9128 label aims to document significant live performances by artists that previously debuted on the 9128.live platform. With recordings initially created for a singular collective listening moment, and often as part of a festival or takeover weekend, label recordings will re-present this music for a greater audience across various formats that best suit each release.
The 9128.live subscription [Join]
The 9128 subscription was established in order for us to create a method to pay artists a fee who have previously aired a live or DJ set on the platform, and create a revenue stream for future 9128.live opportunities. Subscribers get access to exclusive sets and a discount from the 9128 label.
